    I purchased this at a local estate auction of a lady that was an avid musician.  This was one of 4 piccolos that she owned and the only one that sold for less than 0 at auction, including one that sold for 0.  The mouthpiece is stamped or engraved solid silver.  The main body is marked Gemeinhardt 4PSH 85300 (serial #).  It appears to the naked eye to be very nice, but I'm not sure when it was last played, cleaned, lubricated or generally serviced.  I wasn't sure exactly how far to insert the mouthpiece into the main body because I thought maybe it should be lubricated first, so I just barely inserted it to photograph.  I don't play piccolo, so there was no point in me blowing in it, because it was just going to make a horrific embarrassing sound anyway.  In the day, beating on drums were my thing.
