Opperman Rosewood Piccolo, 217k Serial - A RARE & BEAUTIFUL FIND

Description

This Piccolo features a Rosewood body, silver keys and silver inserts in the tone holes.
Opperman Piccolos are professional instruments of the highest quality.  They don't come up for sale often because the players who have them tend to keep them.  You can read about Opperman's background in the article I included.
This Piccolo is part of a collection currently on consignment from a retired flute teacher in the Midwest.  I have two of her Piccolos
currently up for sale (slightly different key work - see ads); th
is one was the "daily player" and the other was her backup.  As such, this one has a little wear around the headjoint but when playing them side by side they both sound just fantastic.
They have a sonorous quality that's hard to describe.  There's a depth to the sound.
There are no cracks, no key play, pads are good and play throughout the range.
Comes with a good hardshell case, leather case cover.

NOTE: one these cleaning rods belongs to the other Piccolo; this sale will only include one rod.
