Description

A rare and unusual Gemeinhardt Grenadilla Wood Piccolo!  Flute technician Paul Rabinov inspected this flute in Nov '20; he believes it is a top-line Roy Seaman model made before Gemeinhardt officially stamped them thus. I talked to a Gemeinhardt who told me the company makes no model comparable to this today (their 4P is composite, not wood).  Since Gemeinhardt acquired Roy Seaman Piccolos in 1997 I am going to assume this was made before the acquisition date, somewhere in the mid or late 90s.
It plays to the top register with ease and is in mint condition.  Certainly on par with other high end brands.  Again, Gemeinhardt makes NO Piccolo of this quality today; this is real Grenadilla wood, both body and head; you will get a richer tone out of this.
No cracks, no problems, good adjustment, all pads play.  A great Piccolo at a fabulous price!
