The piccolo is new, from the older stock,  it  has some manufacturing defects or imperfections.
There is a peeling area (clear coat finish is peeling) on the head joint near the lip plate and logo area.  Some yellowish area on the side of the head joint.
Also on the body there are areas with a few darker spots.
Please see pictures, blemished areas are marked with arrows.
This standard C piccolo has been the most popular instrument in bands.
It plays easily with beautiful tone and intonation.
